HUNTSVILLE – Volunteers, as well as Olympic medalists Becky Kellar and Cheryl Pounder helped make the 15th Annual Anishinabek Veterans Memorial Golf Tournament a success.

Over 130 golfers participated in the Anishinabek Nation 7th Generation Charity’s biggest annual fundraising event, held this year at the Mark O’Meara Course at Grandview Golf Club in Huntsville on June 20.

“Proceeds from this annual event go directly to the Anishinabek Nation 7th Generation Charity to benefit Anishinabek communities and citizens,” says Jason Restoule, manager of the charity.

Participants not only enjoyed one of ClubLink’s Platinum level golf courses, but were treated to exceptional hospitality from arrival with valet bag drop and cart set-up through to a delicious dinner and a chance at some amazing prizes.

“We’re asking everyone to save the date for next year’s event set for Thursday, June 19, 2014,” says Restoule.   “Register early as we are anticipating an early sell-out.”

Restoule would like to sincerely thank all of the volunteers for their help in making this another successful event. Volunteers from the Westmont Hospitality Group included Maija Holla, Alison McGraw, Georgina Day and Michelle Wolfe as well as Monica Lister who took great photos of the event.
