Public Art Call for Indigenous Artists

The Faculty of Law at Queen’s University invites Indigenous artists to submit qualifications for consideration to design, fabricate, and install a permanent artwork in the faculty’s atrium. This is a two-stage competition that will be assessed by a committee. The aim of the project is to create a welcoming space for Indigenous peoples in the Faculty of Law, and to help promote awareness around historical/contemporary issues relevant to Indigenous peoples and law.

The budget for the project is $35,000 CA, with expected completion for the fall of 2018. The deadline to submit to the request for qualifications stage is November 20, 2017.

More information about the project, and how to submit, can be found on the faculty’s website: For any questions, please call 613-533-6000 x74168 or email
