Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services launches new website
NIIJAANSINAANIK CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES HEAD OFFICE (December 18, 2019) –We are pleased to announce that the Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services website is now online at www.niijcfs.com.
The new website features: Organizational History, Child and Family Services, Cultural Services, News, Events, Careers, Policies, information on how to become an Alternative Caregiver, and more. In the drop-down menus, you can find detailed information on all aspects of our organization, including Board of Directors, Staff, Service Area, Quality Assurance, Publications, and more. There is a search option at the top and quick links at the bottom. Links to social media are also provided.
The website was crafted to provide ease of access to organizational information and to be reflective of organizational goals.
“We are happy to have an online resource for the First Nations we work close with, as well as for those interested in learning more about our services,” said Joanne Koehler, Executive Director of Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services. “The website helps communicate our organizational commitment to providing services culturally congruent to meeting needs of children and family.”
The website is part of a Communications Strategy formulated to further the organizational vision, mission and important social and cultural investment according to the fundamental beliefs of Mino Bimaadiziwin – The Good Life, diversity, our Elders, the Clan System and Accountabilities, and the 7 Grandfather Teachings.
Our Organization:
Niijaansinaanik Child and Family was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the province of Ontario in November 2018. We began activities as a pre-designated Child Well Being Agency in 2016. This pre-designation is historic as it is a necessary step in reclaiming jurisdiction over child welfare services to the First Nations we currently service.
