Creating our Feast Bundles
March 16, 2015
Students attending the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder program at Anishinabek Educational Institute participate in a workshop titled “Creating our Feast Bundles” with Lake Huron FASD worker Laura Liberty Feb 27. The students were encouraged to carry their own feast bundle comprised of dishes and cutlery to help reduce the amount of garbage that ends up in the landfill. First Nations gatherings are often centered around feasting, often generating large amounts of Styrofoam garbage which takes years to decompose. As caretakers of our Mother Earth we are reminded to do our part in keeping her clean! For a feast bag workshop in your community please contact Laura Liberty at 1-877-702-5200 or laura.liberty@anishinabek.ca
