Sprint Car Race winner 15-year old from Six Nations
May 21, 2015
At the opening night at the 2015 Ohsweken Speedway on May 15th, 15 year-old Alex Hill of Six Nations took first place in the Sprint Car Race.
Hill, from Six Nations, has been racing since she was nine. Proud parents are Miles Hill and Pam Thomas.
In 1994 sprint car driver Glenn Styres built the 3/8 mile oval Ohsweken Speedway on 80 acres of Styres family-owned land in Six Nations. The track has been continuously expanding every year.
The track’s seating capacity was increased to over 8,000 and a project was conducted to install Musco lighting, illuminating the speedway to allow the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series to run at the facility.
