Moose Deer Point honours and supports Orange Shirt Day

MOOSE DEER POINT FIRST NATION – Students, First Nation staff and daycare staff in Moose Deer Point honoured Residential School Survivors on Orange Shirt Day on September 30.
They educated neighbouring school MacTier Public where Moose Deer Poing students attend Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 and First Nation citizens on the impacts and long-lasting effects of the Residential School system.
Two Moose Deer Point citizens, Laird Hendrick and Susan Williams, are residential survivors and everyone paid tribute to them.
