UOI OFFICES – Nipissing FN (Nov. 4, 2015) – Anishinabek Nation Grand Council Chief Patrick Madahbee welcomes Carolyn Bennett as the new Indigenous and Northern Affairs Minister.

“I welcome Carolyn Bennett as the new Indigenous and Northern Affairs Minister. She’s a seasoned politician and has a strong knowledge of our issues. Hunter Tootoo will also bring a northern perspective and traditional knowledge to the new Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard Ministry,” says Grand Council Chief Madahbee.

“We look forward to working with Minister Bennett on issues important to the Anishinabek Nation including education, health and resource-benefit sharing,” says Madahbee.
