Individual In Custody / Alert Ready Has Been Cancelled
(WIKWEMIKONG FIRST NATION, ON) – The Alert Ready Emergency broadcast on September 27, 2022, as a result of the ongoing investigation into the whereabouts of an armed and dangerous person, has been cancelled.
The individual is currently in police custody. There were no injuries as a result of this investigation and there is no longer a threat to public safety. The general public in Wikwemikong First Nation is no longer required to shelter in safety.
If you have any information regarding this incident, advise the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service or the OPP.
