Kina Gbezhgomi Child and Family Services (KGCFS) is a designated Child Welfare Service delivering Child Protection Services within seven member First Nations in the Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin. KGCFS honours and supports our families’ and community’s inherent authority to care for their children based on unity, traditions, values, beliefs, and customs. Preference will be given to Anishinaabe Candidates, please self-identify in your application.

Data Entry Clerk

(2) Full-time positions

Annual Salary Range: $56,637 to $69,655 + Pension & Benefits

The data entry clerk will support daily operations of the Specialized Services teams. We are looking for an initiative-taking individual to support the team in ensuring data is entered into a database in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS       

  • Related College Diploma or Certificate, or 2 years equivalent work experience in data entry
  • The employer reserves the right to waive the required qualifications in the event of other exceptional qualifications or experience.
  • Have a class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License, access to a personal vehicle and be able to travel.
  • Experience in Indigenous Child Well-Being Services and/or child welfare systems, processes, and data considered an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerApps, Office Suite, Business Intelligence, and Frontline Penlieu considered an asset.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

  • Basic knowledge of front-end data systems used by KGCFS.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
  • Keen attention to detail; problem solving abilities.
  • Can absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must possess knowledge, respect, and sensitivity of the Anishinaabe culture and be committed to helping First Nation families strengthen and achieve a healthy level of well-being.
  • Contribute to the culture of the agency through sharing and building knowledge and understanding, respect and sensitivity of the Anishinabek culture, traditions, and the Seven Grandfather Teachings.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Given the traditional practices of the Anishinabek, from time-to-time exposure to wood smoke and the burning of sacred medicines, including tobacco, sweet grass, sage, or cedar, may occur within the work setting.
