INDIGENOUS EARLY LEARNING CURRICULUM WRITERS

Classification:    Specialist SP4 Business Development Specialist – Salary Grade Band I

Position Objective:

The Indigenous Early Learning Curriculum Writer is an essential role in a multi-year project to develop 6-8 accredited early learning and childcare professional development micro-credentials in Anishinabemowin to support the ongoing education and training for IELCC leaders, management, and staff. The Indigenous Early Learning Curriculum Writer will lead the project team in creating engaging and effective learning materials that support the development of early learning micro-credentials to support quality Indigenous Early Learning resources that are both informative and inspiring for the Indigenous early learning sector.

This position requires a deep understanding of Indigenous early learning, a passion for Anishinabemowin in early learning, and pedagogical strategies to develop content that enhances learning experiences for learners. By collaborating with educators and subject matter experts, the Indigenous Early Learning Curriculum Writer ensures that the curriculum supports diverse learning styles and fosters an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor of ECE or Bachelor of Education
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in curriculum writing
  • Experience in curriculum design, education theory, and Indigenous ECE pedagogy.
  • Knowledge of D2L – Brightspace learning management system or other similar LMS
  • Knowledge of Articulate, Portfoliio, and Microsoft Office software
