Former Chief Abraham passes into the Spirit World

UOI OFFICES (Nipissing FN) March 7, 2016 – Grand Council Chief Patrick Madahbee sends his condolences to the community of Long Lake #58 on the passing of former Chief Sidney Abraham.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Chief Veronica Waboose and her family on the loss of her brother,” says Grand Council Chief Madahbee. “I’ve known Sidney for years – we played hockey together.”

Abraham was one of the Chiefs in 1994 that passed a resolution to create the child welfare agency Dilico.
