Cambridge-based meal delivery and private chef service, Foodzen, launches nutritious, kid-approved lunch program to help busy families eat well

CAMBRIDGE (APRIL 16, 2025) –  FoodZen, an Indigenous and female-owned meal delivery and personal chef service, is proud to announce the launch of its newest offering: Kids Lunch Meal Plans – nutritious, ready-to-eat meals designed to take the stress out of school lunches for busy families.

Crafted by FoodZen Founder and Executive Chef Destiny Moser, the program is designed with working parents in mind, helping them to spend less time on lunches and more time making memories.

“As a mom of three, I know the daily challenge of packing healthy lunches that kids will actually eat,” says Moser. “This new program is more than a time-saver, it’s peace of mind. Our meals sneak in the veggies, fuel little bodies, and let parents focus on what really matters.”

The Kids Lunch Meal Plans feature three, four, or five pre-cooked, portioned lunches per week, striving to use ultra-seasonal and hyperlocal ingredients. Each meal is crafted with allergens and dietary restrictions in mind, with options available for gluten-free, dairy-free, and other special diets. Free from heavy processed ingredients and low in sodium and sugar, FoodZen lunches are packed with whole grains, lean proteins, and hidden veggies to keep kids full and focused. Meals stay fresh in the fridge for three to six days, are friendly options, and come in right-sized, waste-reducing packaging.

FoodZen’s school lunches start at $5.50 per meal, offering families an affordable and nutritious alternative to heavily processed options.

“We post new menus every Friday so families can pick from a rotating selection of kid-friendly dishes,” explains Moser. “Whether for school lunches, after-school snacks, or quick dinners between homework and extracurricular activities, our meals are designed to make healthy eating easier for busy families.”

FoodZen is based in Cambridge, Ontario, and serves the Waterloo Region. It offers pre-made meal delivery and personalized in-home chef services. FoodZen is built on the belief that healthy, nourishing food should be accessible and convenient to all.
