Three Sisters Indigenous Crafts Market to host Gi-Makwenmin – I remember you, Fashion Show and Market

TORONTO – The Three Sisters Indigenous Crafts Market will host the Gi-Makwenmin – I remember you, Fashion Show and Market pop-up market on Sunday, February 15, in Toronto, Ontario.
Gi-Makwenmin – I remember you Fashion Show and Market is an opportunity to celebrate those who inspire us and honour the people who make our lives brighter—friends, family, and sweethearts—and the catalyst that makes every moment meaningful.
The market will showcase 19 talented Indigenous vendors, Indigenous fashion, and community spirit. Miss Indigenous Canada 2025 Gena Boubard, from Sagkeeng Anicinabe Nation, will open the Market, as well as model during the community-focused fashion show. The fashion show will be opened by Wynona Maracle, the cultural coordinator at the Native Women’s Resource Centre of Toronto, who has made a significant impact through their work, various community works, and opening events.
The Three Sisters Indigenous Crafts Market is an Indigenous youth-led, grassroots collective in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that organizes pop-up markets and events to support Indigenous-owned businesses. It offers a platform for verified artists to sell genuine handmade goods such as jewellery, art, clothing, and food, creating community spaces, and promoting cultural expression through these events, often featuring fashion shows and workshops. The collective promotes decolonization and encourages conscious consumerism, urging people to support Indigenous economies. The most current schedule of events is available on its social media channels.
The collective focuses on Indigenous-made, not Indigenous-inspired, products, ensuring customers buy directly from Indigenous creators. The collective provides affordable spaces for Indigenous artists and small businesses to sell their products, and operates without grants, relying on vendor fees to support its operations.
